On Wednesday the 16th May 2001 the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas was opened by H.R.H The Duchess of Kent. Situated close to Lichfield this project is completely independent of the RAF Lichfield Association but we were invited as were  many other Military Organisations and individuals to attend the Opening Ceremony.
